# 关于进组
进组是科大很多同学关心的问题，这里作简单介绍。
## 为什么要进组
进组科研类似于实习，可以帮助你确认自己是否适合科研，是否愿意做科研，以及是否适合某个方向。另外可以获得推荐信和connection，有助于后续发展。
## 进组的时机
实际上不需要担心“进组太早，什么都不会”这种问题，之后进组也是需要学的，所以可以早一些，大二上学期或者寒假都可以。
## 怎么进组
第一步是找到感兴趣的老师。在各个学院的官网有所有老师的信息，通常也会有他们的个人主页，可以大致了解某位老师是做什么的。同时也可以向学长学姐咨询。
之后便可以给老师发邮件。主要目的是表达你对某方面的兴趣和希望加入实验室的想法，可以附上成绩单。如果老师三天没有回复可以考虑再发邮件follow up一下（同样适用于其他发邮件的场合）。可能会有传言说某某老师有比较高的要求，但首先并不一定如此，其次无论如何，只要你感兴趣就可以尝试，就算失败也没有什么损失。
## 进组之后需要做什么
大体上跟着老师的安排即可。老师可能会亲自带你，也可能会交给手下的研究生。具体做的事情比如：读一些论文，探讨研究方向，继续调研这个方向，复现一些比较好的工作，寻找可能的idea或者改进方法。最好是定期、及时汇报。也有一些情况比如：你觉得现在做的方向并非你的兴趣，或者让你做的事情都是打下手，而不是尝试去探索某个方向，解决某个问题。这时应当及时止损，避免内耗。
